Private Residence Bradford, Rhode Island Project Scope: Design of a custom swimming pool and related site amenities

A horse farm in Bradford Rhode Island is the setting for a landscape project that required the design of a custom kidney-shaped swimming pool. After careful site analysis and examination of existing vistas from the house, the pool area was integrated into the slope of a small hill so that views out to the pastures and woodlands beyond the house were maintained.
Pool security issues were addressed with a 5-foot high aluminum fence that encircled the pool deck and surrounding lawn area. Landscaping around the fence perimeter minimized the impact of this element into the landscape. Plant material that is suitable for an open, windy site and that provides seasonal interest with little maintenance was used. Custom elements such as a cabinet for an outdoor stereo system and an outdoor gas grill with kitchen and wet bar were also designed. » Back to Case Studies |
